CO2 Laser Resurfacing Procedure
Prior to the laser skin resurfacing in Palm Springs, we will apply anesthesia on the area that will be treated. For partial resurfacing, we may use local anesthesia, but for full facial resurfacing procedures, we may administer IV sedation or general anesthesia.
Full skin treatments may take 30 minutes to an hour. An overnight stay at the hospital is not necessary, so you can leave the clinic following your treatment.
CO2 Laser Resurfacing Post-Treatment Care
After your treatment, Dr. Sofonio will instruct you on the appropriate wound care to the resurfaced area of your skin to protect it from infection and irritation. Once your skin heals, these side effect will resolve. Before you leave the clinic, we will provide you with instructions on proper wound care. We advise you to stay indoors to avoid exposure to allergens, sunlight, and pollutants that can irritate and infect the skin for the first several days post procedure.
